Elisabet Babic

Elisabet Babic is the President of the CPMR North Sea Commission, a political platform that brings together regional authorities from across the North Sea region to collaborate on sustainable development, climate action, and regional policy. Representing Region Halland in Sweden, Ms. Babic has been actively involved in the Commission for over five years, previously serving as Chair of the Energy and Climate Change Working Group and Vice-President before assuming the presidency. 

With a strong background in regional governance and environmental policy, Ms. Babic is a leading advocate for cross-border cooperation in the areas of renewable energy, maritime affairs, and climate resilience. Her leadership emphasizes the importance of regional voices in shaping European energy transitions and fostering innovation in the North Sea basin.
